Gauge r & R Study for Non-Replicable Measurement Systems (Long Format)
A dataset containing measurements of 15 different parts that represent the whole actual (or expected) range of variation from the manufacturing process. The measurements are done by destructive testing; hence each part can be measured only once. It is possible to identify a batch of parts enough alike that it is reasonable to consider them as if it is the same part. This means the measurement characteristic of interest is identical for each part in the batch is homogenous. This is important because the observed within-batch variation is used to estimate the repeatability of the measurement system. Each operator measures two parts from each batch. The parts were randomised before measuring. The data are organised with all measurements in a single column.
The example JASP file demonstrates the use of the Gauge r & R (non replicable) with long format data.
